From 1711 Appointed magistrates are implemented in the towns

King Frederick I issues a regulation for the implementation of appointed magistrates in all towns and cities. These royal administrators terminate the tradition of independence of cities to their sovereigns as a result of city constitution and urban administration, in many cases still carried over from the Middle Ages. Efforts are focused on centralisation and municipal curtailment. These serve for expansion of the sovereign's power position towards other groups.
